Glass Bottles
Glass bottles are commonly used in laboratories to contain and store liquids like water, reagents, media and solids like laboratory chemical powders. Glass bottles are preferred for storage of chemicals due to its inert nature. The glass will not react with the chemicals and compromise with the integrity. Reagent bottles of different volume capacities are used to store chemicals. They openings of these bottles can be secured with a cork, which is also made of glass. Amber glass is darkened glass, which prevents the contents from being exposed to ultraviolet and infrared radiation. It is used for the storage of light-sensitive chemicals.
