6X Orange Gel Loading Dye is a laboratory grade dye used as DNA tracking dye in agarose gel electrophoresis. The Gel Loading Dye consists of orange G dissolved in tris buffer and glycerol. Orange G dye migrates through the agarose gels at approximately 1.5 kb. The dye consists of 0.04% orange G, 6.6% glycerol, 1.7mM Tris, 10mM EDTA. The loading dye is supplied in 6X concentration however the working concentration may range to 1X concentration i.e 1/6th volume of 6X Orange G Please note to mix the content thoroughly before loading onto the agarose gel. The dye should be stored at 4-degree Celsius for daily use, however, it should be stored at -20-degree Celsius for long term use.
