Amoxyclav (Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid)-SD063-1VL is an antimicrobial susceptibility disc supplied by HiMedia. The product contains 1VL i.e., 100 iscs in a vial. Each disc contains a concentration of 30mcg/disc (Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid : 20/10mcg). Amoxyclav-SD063-1VL is used for antimicrobial susceptibility test by Bauer-Kirby method. It contains filter paper discs of 6mm in diameter with printed AMC 30 at the center on each side of the disc.

The Amoxyclav discs are placed aseptically on inoculated Mueller Hilton Agar with centers at least 24 mm apart. For fastidious organisms and for Penicillins and Cephalosporins, the discs should preferably be deposited with centers 30 mm apart. Immediately the plates are incubated at 352C for 16-18 hours. For fastidious organisms, incubate at appropriate temperature and time. The diameter of the zones of complete inhibition are measured to the nearest mm.

The Amoxyclav-SD063-1VL should be stored at -20C under dry conditions, along with the dessicator provided in individual pack.
