Aura Transformation Teaching Kit (for 10 Reactions) is provided to aid in teaching the technique of bacterial cell transformation in an easy manner. Transformation is the process by which bacterial cells internalize foreign DNA. But before transformation, a bacterial cell must be made competent to take up genetic material in its external environment.The kit also contains plasmid DNA which can be used to transform the competent cells. To demonstrate the selection of transformants from the non-transformants, the plasmid carries selection markers for -complementation and blue-white screening.
