BHAT BIO-SCAN RAPID PLASMA REAGIN SLIDE TEST KIT is supplied by BHAT BIO-TECH.It is a Rapid Non Treponemal Test for qualitative and semi quantitative in vitro determination of reagin antibodies in human serum for syphilis using modified cardiolipin antigen.Detection os syphilis is by serologic methods is related to both the stage of disease and the test method.The antigen used in the test is a modified cardiolipin antigen in which microparticulate carbon particles are suspended.It also contains a balanced quantity of lecithin and cholesterol.In the presence of regain antibodies, clumps or aggregates appear which can be visualized as black clumps against white background of the slide macroscopically. The reagents must be stored at 2 to 8C. The reagents must not be used beyond the expiry date mentioned on it. Before performing the test all the reagents must be brought to room temperature. The reagents must be replaced to 0 2 to 8C soon after performing the test. The reagents must not be freezed.
