Buffer Solution pH 5.00 is manufactured by Reagecon. pH Buffers are routinely used in laboratories for maintaining an ideal pH environment. It is incorporated into reagents during nucleic acid extraction, gel electrophoresis, PCR and other protocols so that the enzymes and proteins within the system work optimally. pH Buffers have the ability to resist a change in pH. It is composed of a weak acid and its conjugate base, or vice versa.
