D2 Lamp 1260/1290 is manufactured for Agilent. The deuterium arc lamp consists of a tungsten filament and an anode within a nickel box. This lamp emits a radiation of wavelength between 112 nm and 900 nm. The D2 lamps are used in UV Spectroscopy and high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). D2 lamps are manufactured keeping up to the standards set by ISO 9001 and regular calibration is performed using the optical standards set by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt). These lamps provide higher sensitivity and greater detection capabilities. The narrow aperture on the lamps give light of greater intensity.
