This medium was generated to isolate or detach spore-forming anaerobes, precisely Clostridium spp. It meets the requirements of USP/EP/JP. Later, the medium has been used to cultivate vegetative cells in Clostridium perfringens assays. Nitrogen, B-complex vitamins, and amino acid elements are present in the peptic digest of animal tissue, yeast extract, and beef extract.
