DNase I is provided by Genei to suit the needs of molecular biology applications. Endonucleases are a class of enzymes known to cleave double stranded DNA. DNase I is a special type of endonuclease which specifically cleaves double-stranded DNA. For performing its functions, DNase I requires some additional cofactors such as metal ions. The enzyme is isolated from bovine pancreas and is treated to inhibit the activity of RNase. It finds maximum application in RNA-work such as, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, etc. It is also used in the radiolabelling techniques and in DNA purification. The DNase I by Genei is provided as a vial containing 1000 units of enzyme, where one unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to increase the absorbance (A260 nm) by 0.001/minute (reaction conditions - 25C, pH 5.0)

- 0.1 mg/mL nuclease free BSA

- 50% (v/v) glycerol
