Ehrlichs reagent by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. This is a reagent preparation which contains p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DMAB). It can be prepared by dissolving 0.5 2.0 g of pdimethylaminobenzaldehyde (DMAB) in 50 mL of 95 % ethanol and 50 mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid. The reagent is available as a clear, light yellow solution. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
