Gentamycin Selective Supplement is supplied by Micromaster. Gentamycin Supplement is a selective supplement for the isolation of yeasts and moulds when used with Sabouraud Agar. Gentamicin inhibits the development of most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (enterobacteria, staphylococci, Pseudomonas), thereby favoring isolation of yeasts and moulds from food products, particularly in meats and raw seafood. Sabouraud Agar with gentamicin can also be supplemented with chloramphenicol to improve selectivity. It is advisable to store this product between 2-8C. Keep away from sources of heat and avoid excessive changes of temperature.
