Glutathione - CL Agarose is a product by GeNei. Glutathione-S-transferase is used as a resin for affinity chromatography and it binds with high affinity to toxins, xenobiotics and peroxidised lipids. The Glutathione CL agarose from Genei is designed for capturing glutathione-S-transferase fusion proteins. With just a single purification step, glutathione-S-transferase can be purified. The cellular lysate can be passed over the column. The fusion protein remains bound to the ligand in the column and it can be eluted with the help of a buffer. The epoxy method was used to cross-link the glutathione with 4% agarose, with the help f a 10-atom spacer.

Using spectrophotometry at A280, it has been found that that product has a 33.3 mg/mL binding capacity.
