Lambda DNA/Hind III Marker-TLDH-3 is supplied by Transiom Genomics. Lambda DNA/Hind III Markers are recommended for sizing of linear double-stranded large DNA fragments in agarose gels. These markers are prepared by completely digesting the Lambda DNA with Hind III, followed by heat-inactivation of the enzyme. This process yields bands ranging from 0.125 kb to 23 kb and makes it suitable for use as molecular weight standards. Lambda DNA/Hind III Marker is composed to 8 purified individual DNA fragments (in base pairs): 23130, 9416, 6557, 4361, 2322, 2027, 564 and 125. DNA fragments contain several sticky ends based on the restriction enzyme used for preparation of the marker. The DNA/HindIII Markers have eight ethanol-precipitated DNA fragments ranging in size from 125bp to 23,130bp.

This marker can be radioactively labelled with T4 Polynucleotide Kinase. Alternatively, it can be labelled with Klenow Fragment or Klenow Fragment, exo- with the fill-in reaction.
