LB Broth is used as a growth medium for various microorganisms, including E. coli, Pseudomonas putida KT2440, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and Bacillus spp. isolated from soil samples. It is commonly used for the non-selective cultivation of E. coli strains to produce recombinant proteins and DNA plasmids, and can also be utilized for selective cultivation with the addition of suitable antibiotics.
