salts, L-glutamine, 25mM HEPES buffer and sodium bicarbonates. The medium is specially designed by Harry Eagle to meet the specific nutritional requirements of certain subtypes of HeLa cells and normal mammalian fibroblasts. Hank's salt mixture does not require CO2 air mixture as it is developed to equilibrate with air. Therefore cells can be grown in reduce CO2 or CO2 free environment. HEPES buffer stops the initial rise in pH that tends to occur at the initiation of a culture and increases the buffering capacity of the medium.

Specifications: AL075A Minimum Essential Medium is a Orangish red colored, clear solution with in a PH range of 7.00 -7.60. Store at 2-8C away from bright light. Shelf life is 12 months. Each pack contains 500 ml of cell culture media.
