Orange Serum Broth for the cultivation of Lactobacilli and other aciduric microorganisms. Originally developed by Murdock et al. and Hays for the examination of citrus concentrates, this medium has since been utilized by Hays and Reister to study the spoilage of orange juice. Stevens reported the use of a dehydrated agar medium containing orange serum. Orange Serum Broth is useful for the initiation of the growth of saprophytic and pathogenic fungi in small samples.
