Soybean Casein Digest Agar Plate (g-irradiated) is supplied by TM media. It is suggested for general use and is employed for the growth of diverse microorganisms present in pharmaceutical products following the standardized USP/EP/BP/JP/IP methodology. This medium finds application in validating the sterility testing process following the harmonized microbial limit testing methodology of USP/EP/BP/JP/IP. It is also utilized in the antimicrobial preservative effectiveness test and the microbial limit test. The combination of tryptone and soya peptone renders the medium nutritious by providing amino acids and long-chain peptides essential for microbial growth. The natural sugars present in soy also facilitate the growth of microorganisms. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance within the medium, while agar serves as the solidifying agent. It comes in a triple pack.
