Spore Strips -DD032-1PK is referred as Spore Strips/Steam Sterilization Monitor Strips under Himedia catalogue. Each pack of Spore Strips -DD032-1PK contains 25 strips. Each spore strip is individually packaged in a steam-permeable envelope.

To assess sterilization process team Sterilization Monitor Strips are used. Each filter paper strip saturated with spores of standard culture of Bacillus stearothermophiluations with concentration of 1000000 spores/strip. The spores of Thermophillic bacteria B.stearothermophiluations are highly heat resistanct. They can grow above 65 C temperature and are used to check autoclave performance. Generally Soyabean Casein Digest Medium(M011)is used for assessment. To check the sterility of autoclave each strip is autoclaved first and then inoculated in 100ml of st.Soyabean Casein Digest Medium(M011) and incubated at 55C upto 7 days. The turbidity in tubes indicates the failure in sterilisation process.

Storage and shelf life: It is advised to store the product always at 15 - 27C after opening. The product loses its stability at higher temperature (45C).
