Synta-Bst L DNA polymerase is a large fragment of Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA polymerase. Possesses 5-3 polymerase activity and strong strand displacement activity, but lacks 5-3 exonuclease activity. Not suitable for PCR. Used for isothermal amplification of nucleic acids in LAMP / RT-LAMP format.Isolated from a strain of Escherichia coli carrying the Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA polymerase gene without 5-3 exonuclease domain.
