Synta-UDG TL - uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG), an enzyme that catalyzes the release of uracil from uracil-containing single- or double-stranded DNA, but cannot remove preexisting contamination from standard dTTP-containing PCR products. As a component of PCR mixtures, UDG is used to prevent false-positive results caused by contamination with amplicons from previously performed PCR. Synta-UDG TL is thermolabile and is completely inactivated during the first PCR cycle when the PCR mixture is heated above 70C and does not interfere with the current reaction.To prevent contamination, it is recommended to add Synta-UDG TL to the reaction mixture in an amount of 0.1-0.2 units per 25 l of the mixture.
