TRANSCRIPTME LYO M-MuLV Reverse Transcriptase New!,100.000 U supplied by BLIRT is a modified, recombinant form of the Reverse Transcriptase from the Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus (M-MuLV) purified from Escherichia coli. It is known to synthesize a complementary strand of DNA by utilzing either RNA (cDNA synthesis) or single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) as a template in the presence of a primer. The TRANSCRIPTME Reverse Transcriptase is greatly thermostable, due to which reactions can be set up at higher temperatures (optimum activity at 50C). It increases the efficiency and specificity of those transcribed RNA regions which are rich in GC pairs and/or contain secondary structures. The enzyme is devoid of 3 5 exonuclease or RNase H activity and this enhances the full-length cDNA synthesis even from long mRNA templates, using random priming. The enzyme provides higher yields of first strand cDNA synthesis up to 7 kb long. Applications include:
