Ultrasonic Cleaners (5.5 litre); manufactured by ANM Industries, are used in laboratories for the quick and efficient cleaning of laboratory equipment. The cleaning solution may be water or any organic solvent, with or without a detergent. A transducer within the cleaner provides an ultrasonic wave of a frequency within 20-400 Hz. This wave causes the formation of small vacuum bubbles within the cleaning solution by a process called cavitation. The material is cleaned due to the mechanical collision force that occurs when these bubbles burst against it. It uses ultrasound to agitate a fluid.
