Methylene Blue (Loefflers) is supplied by Micromaster. It is available in the form of a dark blue coloured solution which is clear without any particles. It is advisable to store this product below 30C in tightly closed container and away from bright light.

Methylene Blue (Loeffler's) is used as staining solution in metachromatic staining. It is used for the identification of diphtheria bacilli, since it differentiates the deeply staining metachromatic granules from the pale blue-staining cytoplasm .
