Acetate buffer can be prepared from a mixture of acetic acid and sodium acetate. Acetic acid acts as the weak acid and acetate ions are the conjugated base. This buffer can be prepared by adding 1.5 ml of glacial acetic acid to prepare 100 ml of 0.2 M of acetic acid solution with the help of distilled water.
