Amberlite IR 120 has a wide range of applications in chemical and biological industries. This ion-exchange matrix is suitable as a separation medium for TLC, paper chromatography and LPLC. Its strongly acidic cation exchange property makes it efficient in de-calcification. It may be used in applications for the recovery of toxic metals. Generally, such ion-exchange resins are used in the softening of water, replacing the magnesium and calcium ions found in hard water with sodium ions. It may also be used in the manufacture of sugar and pharmaceuticals, and purification of juice. These reagents are suitable for industrial and research applications.
