Ammonium molybdate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as ammonium heptamolybdate and ammonium paramolybdate, this inorganic compound is a salt of molybdenum. The reagent is available as a white to yellowish-green coloured powder which is soluble in water. It has a melting point at around 90 C at which it loses its water molecule and decomposes at 190 C. Ammonium molybdate can be synthesized by dissolving molybdenum trioxide in an excess of aqueous ammonia and evaporating the solution at room temperature.
