Suitable for molecular biology Ammonium phosphate has a variety of applications in chemical and biological sectors. It is widely used as a fertilizer where it makes the soil acidic in a long period of time. Diammonium phosphate is used in winemaking and mead brewing as a yeast nutrient. It is additionally used as an additive in some cigarettes, in purifying sugar, as a flux for soldering tin, copper, zinc and brass and to prevent the afterglow in matches. This reagent is also employed in controlling precipitation of alkali-soluble and acid-insoluble colloidal dyes on wool. This reagent is suitable for industrial synthesis of products and research applications.
