This is an indicator solution of acid fuchsin which changes colour from pink to yellow when titrated with sodium hydroxide. The reagent is available as a clear light yellow to brownish yellow coloured yellow. The solution turns pink colour at an acidic pH level of 5.0 and yellow at an alkaline pH level of 8.0. It must be stored below 30 C, and used before the expiry date.
