Ferric sulphate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. Also known as iron(III) sulphate, this is a salt of iron. The reagent is available as a grayish-white powder which is slightly soluble in water. It has a melting point of 480 C. Ferric sulphate is obtained as a solution generated from iron wastes. While it is stable under general conditions, this reagent is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. CAS No. 15244-10-7 Quantity Provided: 500 gm per bottle Molecular formula: Fe2(SO4)3.xH2O Molecular weight: 399.88 Assay: 20 % Analytical grade reagentFerric sulphate has a variety of applications in chemical and biological sectors. This reagent finds applications in the organic synthesis of various derivatives. Ferric sulphate is used in dyeing processes as a mordant, and as a coagulant for industrial wastes. It is additionally used in pigments, and also in pickling baths for aluminium and steel. Ferric sulphate functions as an astringent and styptic in medicinal applications. It is furthermore used to prepare aromatic esters from the corresponding acids and alcohols. This reagent is suitable for the industrial synthesis of products and research applications.
