ISP HiVeg Medium No. 2 serves as a medium for the isolation and cultivation of yeasts, moulds and other aciduric microorganisms. ISP HiVeg Medium No. 2 is prepared by replacing peptic digest of animal tissue with HiVeg peptone which is free of BSE/TSE risks

- Colour and Clarity: Light amber coloured, very slightly opalescent gel forms in petri plates, very slightly opalescent solution in tubes.
- Reaction: Reaction of 4.1% w/v of aqueous solution is pH 6.2 0.2 at 25C.
- Cultural Response: Cultural characteristics observed after an incubation at 25-30C for 40 -72 hours
