00841 00025 is referred as KALIGNOST AR under Research Lab Fine Chem Industries catalogue. 00841 00025 KALIGNOST AR consists of the elements boron, carbon, hydrogen and sodium. It was first synthesized by German chemist and Nobel laureate Georg Wittig. Kalingnost is widely synthesized by the reaction of phenyl Grignard reagents such as phenylmagnesium bromide with boron trifluoride. The Tetraphenylbormagnesiumbromide obtained from this reaction is dissolved in water and treated with sodium chloride solution. It Is widely used in chemical analysis for the titrimetric and gravimetric determination of potassium. Likewise, ammonium, rubidium, cesium and thallium ions can also be determined. Also alkaloids with NaPh4 can be determined quantitatively. It can be very useful in the inorganic separation step to distinguish ammonium and potassium ions.
