This product is a detection kit for alkaline phosphatase in specimens. The test is based on the fact that the enzyme cleaves p-nitrophenyl phosphate (P-NPP) into p-nitrophenol and phosphate. The absorbance is measured at 405 nm to detect the levels of the yellow coloured p-nitrophenol.
