Taq DNA polymerase (5/250 units) is molecular grade enzyme for molecular biology experiments such as DNA amplification. Other enzymes are not thermostable and can not sustain high temperatures of PCR process. Hence there has been a clear trend towards the use of Thermostable Polymerases that remain active even at high temperatures i.e 92 degree celsius. The polymerase can be used for wide variety applications such as -Amplification of DNA fragments of varied size range by polymerase chain reaction. Taq DNA Polymerase is supplied with10X buffer containing 15 mM MgCl or 10X buffer and separate vial of 25 mM MgCl. It should be stored at -20-degree Celsius for long term use and activity of an enzyme. Avoid frequent freeze and thaw to maintain the stability of polymerase.
