Synta-F Taq DNA Polymerase is a chemically modified recombinant analogue of DNA polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. The enzyme possesses 5'-3 polymerase activity and 5'-3' exonuclease activity, while lacks 3'-5 proofreading activity. Synta-F Taq DNA polymerase is suitable for most routine PCR applications, including real-time PCR. Isolated from Escherichia coli strain expressing DNA polymerase gene from Thermus aquaticus. Inactivation of polymerase by chemical modification allows reactions to be set up at room temperature. The inhibition of enzyme activity is removed by heating it at 95C for 15 minutes. Hot start enhances amplification specificity.
