Synta Taq DNA polymerase is a recombinant analogue of DNA polymerase from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. The enzyme possesses 5'-3 polymerase activity and 5'-3' exonuclease activity, while lacks 3'-5 proofreading activity. Synta Taq DNA polymerase is suitable for most routine PCR applications, including real-time PCR. Isolated from Escherichia coli strain expressing DNA polymerase gene from Thermus aquaticus.
