2X Mastermix for PCR-TPMX-100-MM is supplied by Transiom Genomics. PCR master mix is nothing but a premixed concentrated solution that has all the components necessary for performing real-time PCR reaction. These components are not specific to samples. It has been optimized for efficient and reproducible PCR. This type of master mix usually contains, a thermostable DNA polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl2 and patented additives in a buffer optimized for PCR. Different DNA polymerases are available in PCR master mixes for real-time PCR. One can choose between them, depending on the the sample type, target sequence, speed required, and the length of the amplicon. The template, primers, probes (if being used), and water, to make up the volume, needs to be added to this master mix. Dyes may be included in case of fluorescent detection of product formation, in real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR). Some advantages of using a PCR master mix for real-time PCR experiments include, faster setup with less pipetting, reduction in contamination, less tube-to-tube variability, and more reproducible results. Under optimized conditions, amplification of as few as 2 copies of target template can also be achieved. This PCR Master Mix is stable for 3 months when stored at 4C.
