The coat forms a protective layer leading to containment of the glass fragments in case of breakage and also, facilitates optical distinction. The electrostatic charge does not increase as compared to the uncoated ones. This Boro 3.3 flask satisfies the Class A standard of accuracy. It also contains the DE-M mark of conformity. The volumetric flask is supplied with a Polypropylene stopper. The maximum temperature it can be exposed to is 135C (at dry heat for less than 30 minutes) and the maximum temperature to be maintained while autoclaving and cleaning are 121C and 95C respectively. However, frequent autoclaving at such high temperature can lead to reduction in the splintering protection.
