It is used for isolation, cultivation, and identication of mannitol-positive Azotobacter species from the soil.Azotobacter Agar (Mannitol) is used for the isolation and cultivation of mannitol-positive Azotobacter species from the soil. It is also useful for the maintenance of Azotobacter species by adding an extra 1% Mannitol to the medium.
