When occurring naturally as a mineral, boric acid is called sassolite. • CAS Number: 10043-35-3 • Quantity provided: 1 kg per bottle • Chemical formula: BH3O3 • Molecular weight: 61.83 Boric acid has a wide range of applications in biological and chemical industries. It is majorly used in the manufacture of monofilament fiberglass usually referred to as textile fiberglass. It is also used to treat or prevent boron deficiencies in plants and for the preservation of grains such as rice and wheat.
