High grade Czapek Dox Broth is supplied by Micromaster. It is available in the form of a cream to yellow homogeneous free flowing powder which has a pH of around 7.1-7.5. This product should be stored between 10-30C in a tightly closed container. Once opened, it should be properly stored, after tightly capping the bottle. Due to the hygroscopic nature of the product, there could be chances of lump formation which can be avoided by proper storage. Store in dry ventilated area protected from extremes of temperature and sources of ignition.

Czapek Dox Broth is a semi-synthetic medium used for the cultivation of fungi, containing sodium nitrate as the sole source of nitrogen. This medium is prepared according to the formula having a defined chemical composition which was developed by Thom and Church. Czapek Dox Broth is the modification of the original medium of Czapek Dox as per Thomas and Raper. Sucrose serves as the sole source of carbon while sodium nitrate serves as the sole source of nitrogen. Dipotassium phosphate buffers the medium. Magnesium sulphate, potassium chloride, ferrous sulphate serves as sources of essential ions.
