Albert stain A by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. This staining solution is one of two stains required for the Albert staining process. This reagent is available as a peacock blue coloured liquid. In the staining process, granules stain purple-black against the counterstained cytoplasm, which is light green in colour. Toluidine blue O and Malachite green both are two basic dyes with high affinity for acidic tissue components like the cytoplasm. This reagent must be stored at temperatures up to 30C, in tightly closed container and protected from bright light. For best results, use is recommended before expiry.

This metachromatic stain is used to demonstrate the presence of metachromatic granules which are found in the bacteria, Corynebacterium diphtheria. This staining method helps differentiate diphtheria from most of the short, non-pathogenic, diphtheroides which lack granules. These reagents are suitable for various research applications.
