Zinc nitrate hexahydrate by Research Lab Fine Chem Industries is a high grade reagent. This inorganic compound is a nitrate salt of zinc. The reagent is available as a white powder which is soluble in water and alcohol. It has a melting point of 36.4 C, and decomposes at around 125 C. Zinc nitrate can be generated by dissolving zinc in nitric acid. The compound is stable under general conditions, however, it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
