Aura Bacterial Gene Expression Teaching Kit (for 10 reactions) is a product which allows simple demonstration of induction of the expression of cloned bacterial genes. The kit uses E.coli containing a cloned gene. The presence of an IPTG inducible promoter helps in demonstrating how gene expression can be controlled. Bacterial Gene Expression Teaching Kit also contains materials required for cell lysis to obtain cell-free extract. Once the cell-free extract is obtained, the teaching kit recommends that an SDS PAGE gel be run to compare the levels of expression of the cloned protein in the induced and non-induced cells.
